Adam, you’re judging these podcasts pretty intensly if you don’t mind my saying.
Yes I can tell you actually like them, but I honestly don’t know what you expect from a family inside a house doing quirky sketches. I love them for what they are.. podcasts. They aren’t finely edited fodder for ABC Family
I hope that didn’t sound like I don’t think there is a lot of effort put into the podcasts. I love the camera, but more I love the ideas behind each thing you do.

Yes, same slippers from Disney World. I sometimes wear them when I travel.

But only when I’m meeting important people.

That’s when I have them shined.

No kits just available light. I like to use what is there as long as it is flat and even.

Cathy was not prepped in any way so her responses where honest. Everything is funnier when it’s real.

i am actualy interesting in what your using for lighting to your lighting seems to be pretty good for podcasts
and you just using what i call go kits tiny little lamps for your productions and like 3 point lighting or…..
if you could maybe fill me in that would be spectacular

Anyway, I actually have a couple questions about your podcasts.

As you know, like yourself I enjoy film-making, and I’ve noticed that all your podcasts seem to be lit perfectly (to my untrained eye anyway). Do you do any lighting set-up or is it just your natural well-lit home? It looks like natural light to me.

Also, how do you get clips from movies? You can e-mail me with this response if you’d like. I’ve got a couple ideas for podcast I’d like to do for you guys and I know how I’d do it, but it involves a lot of downloading (since I don’t know how to copy straight from DVD’s). What’s your secret?

I didn’t like it. Quite frankly, I thought the whole plot was weak. You could tell there were no storyboards drawn for this film. It seemed the director just set up a camera and started rolling…

…I’m sorry, I can’t do it. Everytime you put a podcast up everyone pat’s you on the back and tells you how great you are. So I thought it was about time someone put you in your place; dropped you down a few pegs to keep you humble. But alas, I’m clearly not the guy to do it because I truly found this podcast to be fantastic.

I mean, the two simple tripod shots were ingeniously easy, yet conveyed all of the necessary information to the viewer. And the splicing in of your mystery stalker was executed flawlessly. Aside from your visual perfection, the music you chose for this ‘cast suited the material and gave it a powerful and unforgettable flow that easily allows for multiple viewings.

I hope you take this criticism to heart and for crying out loud, try a little harder next…

…oh, you see? I just can’t do it! Oh well…maybe you’ll actually disappoint me some day. But I warn you, when that day arrives, you’ll feel my critical wrath!

(I think I better take my meds…It’s been a rough day)

#1: Mike I never knew you were so into shoes…yellow slippers, heels…impressive!!!! No wonder Brendan felt the need to walk in high heels…he had to live up to the queen!! I mean king!!!
#2: I think you have some serious unresolved issues with the cub-scout/flapping-loin cloth….the whole playing with a near naked barbie frightened me enough already, now you are having dreams (excuse me, nightmares) of tom cruise chasing your bare bottom? Concerning. Cathy you are right…this IS something he should be talking to his doctor about. ;]
