Way to go on making quite possibly the most uncomfortable podcast to sit through yet . I hate those speeches. There are so damned uncomfortable sometimes and you managed to pull the true essence of that out and mash it all together for your podcast. I don’t know whether to pat you on the back or scowl.

I’m glad crash won over brokeback mountain last year but yeah the oscars are pretty weak. i usually tell my mom who watches it religiously every year to call me when she sees jude law and then im content for another year. whatever,thats how i roll.

The Oscars suck. I think the Academy chooses the winners based on who they think will give the most cloying thank you speech. It disgusts me.

Why can’t all awards shows be like the Science Fiction Film Awards in 1978 when Bill Shatner, a true artist, authored what would end up as the frontispiece of the “Unintentional Humor” Hall of Fame. Can you send links in the comments? If so, enjoy this:

By the way, I saw the video of Halle Berry and I really thought she was seizing and nobody in the crowd was doing anything. I kept thinking, “Shouldn’t somebody be getting her some orange juice?”
